Title: "Intertwined"
Medium: Necklace/Installation (Paper clips, safety pins, beads, fabric, wire)
Size: 38 cm (15 inches)
Day 4... I was sitting at my desk thinking... My eyes caught the paper clips laying there and I started staring at them... After a while, that made me realise I could just use simple objects like that to do a piece of art. So that made me experiment with them. I decided then to grab some safety pins and to incorporate them and tried to design something. I finally combined them together and added some beads in between. Then my necklace was born!
Afterwards I used it to do an installation. I added some fabric and wire and went through the fabric with the wire to express hardships, pain and sadness that struggles in life can bring. The message to show how to overcome those things was made by adding the scissors. And the scissors became a message of hope.
